Yes folks! Its that time of year again! After a jam packed 2011 myself and More Brains, Vicar? have just started organising the second Kustom Kristmas event! For more info head to our facebook event here! Or check out the flier below, designed by myself and MBV!
Hope to see you there!
Apologys for the extreme lack of post in the last few months. I started a new day job and also took on a load of freelance work so time has been a bit short! I’m going to attempt to keep on top of this a bit more now! So expect more updates in the coming weeks! Also if you are on facebook head to my fanpage www.facebook.com/clumsykate for more regular updates!
In the meantime, if you live in the South East come to this! I´ll be there with More Brains Vicar, Von Leadfoot and Ben Nuthink, having a little stall!
And if you are off to Bottrop Kustom Kulture next weekend, gimme a shout! I’ll be there as a punter, and also reviewing the event for Milkcow Magazine! We can have a beer and some German sausage!
Till next time! Clumsy x
I’ve recently added some new Clumsy products to my small range! These Clumsy Compact mirrors are only £3.50, with free postage (UK only please inquire for Int. shipping). They make the perfect gift for Valentines day! Contact me to purchase.
I was recently contacted by the guys from Rad Dad Collective, a neat little blog about Artists, Skateboarders, Photographers, Urban Explorers, Street Urchins. Anything to do with the “Scene on the Streets”.
They had bought one of my tee shirts I designed for The House skate park in Sheffield, and had tracked me down via a chance encounter with a friend of mine in a pub in Derby!
Anyway, we had a good old chat and they asked me some damn good questions! Head to Rad Dad Collective to see the interview in full, and check out their cool site!
Back in August I exhibited at the UK’s premier Tiki Weekender, Puttiki, in Hastings UK. Part of the festivities includes a round of adventure golf. I lost spectacularily, without even realising just how rubbish I was until the end. I blame the bar that was artfully placed at the seventh hole!
The next day, the winner was presented with a fabulous trophy carved by the super talented Trader Tark. And the loser was presented with…er…nothing. So, I vowed on the spot to make a Clumsy Loser Spoon, so that next year’s loser has something to look forward to. So here it is!!!!
I gave the loser spoon to Puttiki’s organisers (Los Furias Tiki and Lady K Loves) as a Christmas present! Hopefully it will soon be hanging in Hunny Lu Lu’s Tiki bar, in Hastings.
To get your name on the spoon, just rock up to next years Puttiki and down as many cocktails as you can! See you at the bar! x
Last Sunday we held the first ever Kustom Kristmas event in Holloway! Me and my good friend Nicola have spent the last few weeks working on the event, and there was a great turnout and a really good atmosphere! I would like to thank Nicola for ll her hard work (especially on the bands side of things!) and also a HUGE thanks to all the artists and stall holders who came down with some fantastic art and crafts! Check out the pictures below! And if you missed out this time head to www.facebook.com/londonkoop to stay in the loop!
Last weekend I headed down to Pontins Camber Sands for the Rhythm Riot weekender. I had been invited to their first ever Vintage Surf and Skate Expo to decorate a skate deck over the duration of the weekend. I’ve done plenty of live art at events like this, but this was special, as they gave me premission to do my wood burning thang! It was so much fun and the response from visitors to the show was really good! I hope I can do more events like this in the future. Here are some piccies from the weekend! Enjoy x
