I was recently contacted by the guys from Rad Dad Collective, a neat little blog about Artists, Skateboarders, Photographers, Urban Explorers, Street Urchins. Anything to do with the “Scene on the Streets”.
They had bought one of my tee shirts I designed for The House skate park in Sheffield, and had tracked me down via a chance encounter with a friend of mine in a pub in Derby!
Anyway, we had a good old chat and they asked me some damn good questions! Head to Rad Dad Collective to see the interview in full, and check out their cool site!
Papergirl is an art project from Berlin. In the style of American paper-boys, rolled art pieces will be distributed by bicycle in the streets of Manchester to random passers-by. With the support of Papergirl Berlin; it will consist of an exhibition, distribution of art and a party. Manchester will be Papergirl’s UK début. If you are an artist and would like to get involved and submit work for Papergirl, visit http://papergirlmanchester.tumblr.com/ for more info. You’ll also find an interview with little old me, and some of the other fabulous artists who are taking part!
Here are some piccies from the Tattoo Luau event at the weekend. The whole event was loads of fun, and a big thanks goes out the Shell Lally from 20-21 Visual Arts Center for all her hard work. The mural painting was a great success with a collaboration between myself, Los Furias Tiki, and Kristian McLean. We had never worked together before, but I think it was one of my most successfull collaborations to date.
See what you think:
The finished results can be seen, along with the Art With A Pulse show, untill August, at 20-21 Visual Arts Center in Scunthorpe.
I will be having a stall at Kustom Kulture Blastoff in September. The UKs first Kustom Art & Lifestyle show, complete with Panel Jam, Rolling art show, Burlesque, Bands and loads more. I will be exhibiting a small range of my work and selling my jewellery.
A friend and talented artist, Phlegm has put together a series of artist tees for House skatepark in Sheffield. The list of artists includes some fantastic emerging talent such as Lord Bunn, Pud, Phlegm, myself and many more. All proceeds go towards keeping the skate park open for the people of Sheffield. Check out the selection of tees on the House website, and head for the Products section to pre order. Only £17, and all for a good cause. Here is my design below:
